Skydive Temple is actually south of the Temple and Belton area, just south of the small town of Salado, and very close to I-35 (east side). It has a grass runway and usually flys two Cessna 182's (holds 4 jumpers each), and occasionally hosts a larger turbine aircraft (holding 14-24). Nice air conditioned packing area. Wingsuit instruction is available on an appointment basis, as the traveling wingsuit instructors visit only every once in a while. |

Skydive San Marcos has the only full-time twin-engine turbine Super Otter aircraft (holds 24) in the central Texas area. With a paved runway, it is located 15 minutes east of San Marcos at the crossroads called Fentress (Note: halfway between San Marcos and Fentress on TX80 is Martindale, a famous speed trap! Be sure you cruise well under the posted speed limits when driving through that area!). Skydive San Marcos specializes in high-volume tandems mostly, but hosts occassional events for experienced jumpers. Air conditioned packing area. There is usually a PFI instructor around although he may be busy with tandems or videos. |

"The Country Club of Skydiving" is nestled in the pines at the Waller Country Club golf course northwest of Houston, about 6 miles south of US 290 at the county road 362 exit. They have a Super Otter aircraft (holds 24), a partially paved runway, and an air conditioned packing area next to a nice swimming pool and BBQ area. Wingsuit instructors are usually available. |

Located a couple miles north of TX6 on state highway 21 at Coulter Field, a full service private aviation airport, Skydive Aggieland runs two Cessnas. The airport is large and roomy with lots of landing area. Wingsuit interest is growing with a few resident flyers. Wingsuit instructors visit occassionally to run FFC's. |

Located on the south side of US-90 just east of Nome, TX (between Beaumont and Houston), Ground Rush is a small friendly club DZ running Cessnas in the Gulf breezes. Wingsuits are not common there yet, but there are a few in the area that get together once in a while. |

The largest DZ in the north Texas area drawing jumpers from as far away as Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas, Skydive Dallas runs a Super Otter and a Caravan, and is host to Skydive University and many competition teams. A number of wingsuit flyers are in the area also. A wingsuit instructor is available by appointment. |

Formerly Eagle Flight Skydiving in Granbury, Skydive 35 is located south of Ft. Worth and Dallas at the Hillsboro airport, near the crotch of the "Y" where I-35 forks into I-35W and I-35E going around the DFW Metroplex. Skydive 35 has Cessnas operating on a municipal airport (paved runways!) with a large air conditioned hanger, and will have a Caravan in September 2008. Wingsuits are not common there, but an occassional flyer passes through from time to time. |

Capitol Skydiving - Coupland, TX [Temporarily closed August 2008]The closest DZ to Austin, Capitol Sydiving is located about a half-hour east of Austin in open farmalnd near Coupland, TX. They operate two Cessnas from a grass runway and have an air conditioned packing area. Generally, wingsuit instructors are available for FFC's and flocking. |
East Texas Skydiving is located about 10 miles north of I-20 on US 271 at the Gladewater Municipal Airport. They operate a Cessna from a paved runway and have a great club atmosphere. Wingsuits are not common there, but an occassional flyer passes through from time to time. |

Texas Freefall is located at the Stephenville Municipal Airport, about an hour's drive southwest of Ft. Worth. They operate a Cessna from a paved runway and are a small 'old-fashioned' DZ with indoor carpeted packing and a large open landing area. Wingsuits are not common there, but an occassional flyer passes through from time to time. |
